Dapto’s growth corridor has a young, EV-keen population, so home EV charger installs are one of our busiest Dapto jobs. On newer estate homes the switchboard usually has the capacity; on renovated older homes it often doesn’t. Either way we check the board first and fit the dedicated circuit, RCD protection and load management properly, and notify Ausgrid of the new load — we’re Level 2 ASP accredited for the mains side too.
Solar-ready and battery-ready wiring.
With high solar uptake across Dapto, we’re often asked to get a home ready for solar and battery — tidying the switchboard, fitting the right isolators and protection, and making sure a new EV charger can run off daytime solar. We don’t do the panels themselves, but we handle the board, circuits and charger so the whole setup works together and meets the Wiring Rules.
New-estate and renovation circuits.
Between the new estates and the older Dapto homes being extended, there’s steady demand for added circuits, more power points, LED downlights, ceiling fans and outdoor lighting. We run every new circuit dedicated and RCD-protected from the switchboard, so a kitchen reno or a new air-con isn’t hung off an already-busy circuit. See lighting and power.

Not all of Dapto is new — the established parts of the suburb have the same ageing switchboards as the rest of the Illawarra. Where a home still has ceramic fuses or no safety switches, a board upgrade comes first, especially before adding heavy loads like an EV charger or air-con.
